Sunday was such a beautiful Alabama day that we just had to get out and enjoy it. We met our good friends and their adorable little family and played away! Harp did her favorite thing--swing and she even went down the slide for the first time with dad. She wasn't really amused. But we tried. Either way it was a fun play date that left me thankful mom friends. Because no one understands poo talk like they do.

Around the Fire
This weekend the weather warmed up beautifully in Alabama and we were able to squeeze in one last fire pit party with our favorites. There were baby cuddles, dog cuddles and some even cuddled with their husbands. There was laughter and dancing and conversations of the lively kind. Our bellies and our glasses (of wine) were full. It was wonderful. I love a night where I can look around and feel nothing but joy. We have made the most wonderful friends out here. The countdown on our fridge is getting smaller but we are making the best of it, with the best of company. Nights and moments that I will never forget.

Bowling With My Homies
On our first date my husband and I went bowling. It is one of his most favorite things to do so when I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday I wasn't surprised when he asked to go bowling. There were babies and beer, bowling balls and laughter. It was a blast. I once again realized how much I suck at bowling. My husband on the other hand rocks at it. I'm not gonna lie. It is how he won me over;) There is nothing sexier than a man who knows how to bowl. I'd show you pictures of him bowling but I keep those all to myself. Haha. Happy Weekend.

Transition
Transition is defined as the movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, etc. to another. Currently I feel in limbo as we are in this stage of transition. I'm such a passionate person with everything I do so usually that means I don't like these in between phases. At times like this I tend to worry to much about the future. I go over things repeatedly in my head and pretty much drive myself crazy.
Yesterday my friends came over and we had coffee and I very excitedly announced that my husband's estimated final day of class was only 2 months and 10 days away. As soon as the words left my mouth I realized how ridiculous I sounded. Here I am sitting around with my favorite people, sipping away on coffee, and not fully being in the moment. It finally dawned on me yesterday. My inability to live in the now.
So last night I spent most of the evening being hard on myself. I went to my cranky place. A place I hadn't actually been in awhile. It wasn't pretty so I decided I needed a change. This morning I have a better attitude. A better view on life. I'm embracing the in between. We will eventually be moving. I will eventually be transitioning back to Montana. I will eventually be decorating our new home. But right now there is a lot of wonderfulness happening and I'm going to enjoy it. Every minute of it. I'm going to do what makes me happy. I'm going to spend as much time with my friends as I can. I'm going to enjoy the present uncertainty because who knows what is going to happen after this? Besides right now I currently have the most amazing people in my life to do it with. What could be sweeter?

Bama Xmas
My friends know how to throw an amazing party. This weekend we dressed up all fancy schmancy and went to my friend Liz's for a White Elephant party. As you can see from above there were wonderful goodies to partake in. There was booze. And there was also a photo booth. Why all parties don't have one is beyond me. We had entirely too much fun taking pictures in it.
It was yet another perfect weekend. It was wonderful to spend the evening with some of our best friends laughing and talking. This week we all go separate ways for it is Christmas exodus on base here and a lot of us are going to our home states (see you soon Montana). I'm already looking forward to our welcome back to base party. Because even though it isn't official i'm just going to assume it is going to happen. Right? Right?
As for the white elephant part of the party-- we came home with some sweet ass sea shell ornaments that my husband won. Pictures just wouldn't do them justice so I won't be sharing. Haha. I came home with the movie TED which if you haven't seen it is hilarious!
Merry Alabama Christmas.

Sometimes We Party in Pajamas
I can't ever say it enough but God seriously blessed my husband and I with an amazing group of friends in Alabama.
A group of people going through the same thing we are.
A group of people who just "get it" when others probably wouldn't.
These are the same people that we spend Friday nights gathered around the fire with.
The same group of people that love you and your babies just as much as you do.
The same group people that wear Christmas pajamas over to your house because they too know that they beat real clothes.
The same people with cry with and laugh hysterically with.
They are the people that you cherish every moment with for in a few short months we will all be going our separate ways.
But they are the group of people that will be your friend always no matter how far apart you are.
We are all so lucky to have each other.

Friendsgiving
We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving. Since we are in Alabama and my husband didn't have enough time off for us to go home we spent Thanksgiving with our Army family here at Fort Rucker. It was the next best thing. My dear friend Liz and her husband had us all over to their place. Liz created the most perfect ambiance. The place sparkled. Literally. The personal touches were incredible. We all had our own Mason Jar for drinks and she even wrote us all a sweet note as to why she was thankful for us. She likes to make me cry. We spent the day laughing and sharing stories and drinking and eating until we were going to burst. The night ended around the fire pit sipping coffee and listening to music. It was beyond perfect. It felt like home. Two days later we are still talking about how amazing the day was and how blessed we are to have so many wonderful people in our lives. It was how Thanksgiving should be and it was very very happy indeed.
