First of all I cannot even believe I did it. Yesterday when I got the call saying we could get you in I experienced every emotion possible--excitement, fear, nervousness, awesomeness, everything. I couldn't even believe for a moment I was scared of getting it. It isn't like I haven't pushed a baby out of my lady parts or anything. Haha. But I did it. Afterward I immediately had the Oh crap this is permanent reaction as well as the what was I thinking? But I love it. I mean seriously looooooove it.It is the last tattoo I'm going to get. I feel complete with this one.
I first fell in love a few years ago with a pin of a mountain range tattoo'd on someone's neck. I wanted it to be mine. Only I didn't want the exact tattoo, I wanted to make it my own. So when I got to the parlor the artist and I found a picture of a range of significance in my life--The Beartooth mountains here in Montana.
They signify my love for this place and the area I live in. They represent new beginnings. They represent home. We hike them, we ski them, we sit and marvel at them. They are the mountains that I can't get enough of. They represent my love of the outdoors and the beautiful world we live in. It is just me.
I'm so glad I did it. I can't stop looking at it. I guess it is a good thing I'm obsessed with it because I'm stuck with it. Heres to taking risks.
