Wanderlust

Last night the husband and I watched the move Wanderlust starring Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd. The movie is about a couple who flee city life and end up at a commune in Georgia with a bunch of hippies. I must say I loved the movie probably because I want to be a hippie myself and also because I want to add every single thing Jennifer Aniston wore in the movie to my closet. But most of all I liked it because I identified with her character Linda. She reminded me so much of myself. Linda was very open minded and had a lot of artistic endeavors but wasn't sure what she wanted to do in life.

I recently turned 27 and I still have no clue what I want to do. I have majored in nursing, teaching, and business which is probably what I will end up with a degree in. A degree that has taken me almost 10 years to get. Sometimes I am hard on myself but I realize one of these days I'm going to have an ah-ha moment and realize what I am supposed to be doing with my life and then it won't seem so bad.

One thing I am sure that I'm supposed to be however is a mom. Being a mom is the best thing ever. Of this I am sure. Even when i'm lacking in sleep and covered in spit up, it is awesome! Every single day I get to spend time with the little person I helped create and watch her discover the world around her.

And with each and every passing day something new is always happening with her. It is so neat. Harper smiles at us all the time and talks to us constantly. She is such a good baby.

I am continually amazed at how you just become a mother. Ever since she came into this world being a mom has come with ease. You just do it. Yes some days are harder than others but even on those days you cope and figure it out. It is amazing how God made woman.

I look forward to returning to Rocky Mountain college in Montana and finally finishing my business degree. What I will do with it I do not know. But until then at least I have this Mom thing going for me.
