Yesterday as I was standing in the kitchen, sipping on some tea, and staring out the window it dawned on me that it is fall here in Alabama. The temperatures are cooler, days are shorter, and there is an actual crispness in the air as opposed to the normal humidity. The leaves are changing colors and falling to the ground. That crunch they make under you feet as you walk on them is one of my favorite sounds. As I look up and down my street I see porches with pumpkins and fall wreaths galore. It is my absolute favorite season. I wouldn't say it is as pretty as some of the falls in other states I have been in but it holds its own. I'm so thankful that I get to enjoy it for a few more weeks before I fully embrace Christmastime. Fall is fantastic.
