Happy Thoughts

Last night my husband and I watched the movie Project X. If you haven't seen it, it is about these kids who end up throwing this epic party for their friends 17th birthday. Yep, 17. You guys I was 17, 10 years ago. How crazy is that? I'm old. Anyways at one point in the movie my husband and I looked at one another and I know we were thinking the same thing. We had both been to some epic parties in our lives. The good ol days. Haha.

Honestly I don't miss it. I wouldn't change a thing in my life. Even the stupid nights out. I have absolutely no regrets. But there is something wonderful about being past that point in my life. Something beautiful about growing older.

Our weekend consisted of a good friends 2 year olds birthday party. Instead of drinking games there was a bouncy house. Instead of kegs there was hot apple cider and the best part is there were no hangovers to be had the morning after.

And you know what? It was just perfect. I like this place I'm in. Life is pretty simple these days and that is how it should be.

Over The Weekend

Over the weekend many good times were had. There was a fire pit party, there was good BBQ, and then there was bowling. Or for someone who sucks at bowling like me there was beer.

Over the weekend newborn baby cuddles were had and Harper made a new friend. Molly is so tiny and incredibly precious.

Over the weekend veterans were also celebrated. I'm so proud of my husband and all the other Veterans.

Over the weekend my Warby Parker glasses were ordered. I chose the Huxley in Whiskey Tortoise. I cannot wait to wear them.

Over the weekend college basketball also started. Harper was representing her mothers number two team the Kentucky Wild Cats. My number one however happens to be Duke. My mother is from Kentucky though and the Cats have always been a team I root for as well. Harper went through all three of her UK onesies that day. So that was awesome. I love baby spit up.

Overall it was a pretty fantastic weekend. I was once again reminded of the importance of community. Of having people in your life to share your baby, happiness, sorrows, and stories with.

Over the Weekend

Over the weekend we took lots of pictures. I'm not sure if baby girl looks like her mommy or her daddy. I think she is the perfect combination of the both of us. Over the weekend we spent a lot of time curled up on the couch cuddling with Harper and with our fur baby Lucy. Over the weekend Harper rolled over and she hasn't stopped since. On her side, on her back, on her belly...Over the weekend we had the sweetest moment when Harper discovered herself in the mirror. If only you guys could have heard her squeals of delight. Another wonderful weekend in the books.
