Hair is such a funny thing. Or at least for me it is anyways. I place a lot of emphasis on it. I have spent years trying to find the perfect cut and perfect style. Heck even the perfect color. I even keep growing it out. The thing is. I don't find my hair particularly awesome when it is long. It just hangs there with no style. My hair was the longest and blondest it has been in years but it just wasn't doing it for me. For months I have been pinning shorter hair cuts. Every time a blogger I loved chopped their hair I wanted that hair. Well yesterday I finally did it. The above picture is me on Wednesday.
And this is me today. It is all gone. The blonde too. Because lets face it i'm not a natural blonde. I always had a permeant root stripe unless I frequented the salon and bleached the crap out of my hair. This color is much more flattering. This cut is much better for me. I feel free. I now have this wavy bob that I can straighten or curl and I love it. I have never felt more me.
As for the mom hair thing. I guess you could call it that. For some reason we have decided to call short hair, mom hair and it is so dumb. But I guess it is since I am a mom and everything its true. But I think short hair is hot. So here is to hot mom hair. Here is to me not throwing my hair up into a top knot every day because my hair is a pain in the butt.
Short hair, long hair, hair is hair. Basically I just really really love my new hair and I wanted to share it with the world. Change is good.
