On Monday Harper finally had her very belated two month check up (she will be 3 months a week from today). What can I say? Flight school kind of dominates our lives right now and Jason really wanted to join us so we delayed it a little bit.
It was no surprise to us that Harper was so good. Not a peep or cry the entire time. In fact she really enjoyed the Doctor and smiled and cooed at him. Thank goodness. I don't know what I would have done if they would have poked her. We decided not to vaccinate Harper at this time as we continue to be on the fence about it. We just want to do whats best for her and at this point in time vaccinating isn't something we want to do.
The doctor gave us the best news ever--that she is happy, healthy, and developing as she should. Currently Harper weighs 11 pounds and 6 ounces, is 23 3/4 long, and her head circumference is 38.5 cm. The doctor didn't tell us the percentiles so I looked them up when I got home. Basically they told me that our daughter is tiny, but of average length, with a big head. Haha. Well no matter what she is she is cute. I can't wait to see what her 4 month appointment will bring. We plan on doing that one on time.
While we were at her appointment Jason and I sat there in awe that we have been doing this parent thing for almost three months now. In fact we are doing just fine at it. And what a great feeling that is. We love our baby girl.
